Success!
Well, so far anyway. My New Summer's Resolution is being followed to the tee. And it's been 3 1/2 days. Actually Case 1 (ignoring Plan J.'s calls) has been rather easy because he hasn't tried to contact me. Oh well. I'm still not spending time with him and that's all the counts, right?
As for Case 2, I have officially broken the carpool cycle with Plan B. I have officially broken any sort of relationship cycle with him, actually, because we are no longer on speaking terms. I left a very wise (in my opinion) and eye-opening (for him) letter on his car. (See posting entitled "A Fairy Tale.") After reading this, Plan B.'s response was to text me with "So we can't be friends anymore?" I never said that the men I date have to be smart. Hmmm... I should probably add that to my checklist now though.
On a side note, leaving a fictional story on someone's car as a way of saying "Get out of my life," is usually not appropriate and may seem a little silly. However, the relationship between Plan B. and I began with fun storytelling emails to entertain one another at work. So ending our relationship with storytelling seemed highly appropriate.
About Case 3... I have to say that I really did stick to that one even though I found out the truth behind who Audrey really is, and yes, she is the new girlfriend. (I'm seriously gagging as I type that word.) Miss Parker (http://www.sixthwilbury.blogspot.com), aka "Detective Flakey", was able to provide confirmation on my already pretty solid conclusion. We did not go looking for it, it fell into our laps. Promise. I could have made late night drive-bys past his house but I refrained, which is not to be confused with refraining from having arsonist-like daydreams where, coincidentally, Plan B.'s and Audrey's cars, which are usually parked near each other, spontaneously combust.
And in accordance to Case 4, I held a cell phone funeral. My cell phone is now clear of any phone numbers that I might randomly text after a night of intoxication and indulgence. It is clean! Check it yourself!
Oh, and about my date with the new Plan - it was rescheduled for this Sunday night. It will be our second date. Update on this relationship coming soon... a little food for thought: he's 29, a mortgage broker (what? a real job, you say? YES.), he's tall, VERY good looking, and is a great dresser. Oh, and I'm still feeling the kiss he gave me when the last date ended.

If it wasn't tempting enough to randomly text/call people while a little intoxicated, the temptation only grows if one is lying on the kitchen floor...
