A Poem

A commenter named Alyce wrote this poem in reponse to the latest blog entry on "This Fish Needs a Bicycle." I felt it summed up my general mood these past few months. Kudos to Alyce.

tonight i am pining
for someone i hardly know
someone who is not mine,
someone i had for a brief time.
my melancholia is only tempered
by the knowledge that what i had
was wonderful in its own way,
albeit incomplete.

If you get a chance, read the the lastest post on "This Fish Needs a Bicycle." Especially if you're single. It really hits home on the fact that just because your alone, you're not necessarily lonely. But also that you may be lonely for someone in particular.
